COMMUNITY LIFE ANNOUNCEMENTS

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL (CHURCH WIDE)

  • Our next Five-Week Adult Sunday School class, "Deep Doctrine: The Ordo Salutis," will be held on Feb 23, Mar 2 and 9. This class will run in the St. Andrews hall at 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Come join us- It'll be fun!

MEMBERSHIP CLASS

  • Interested in becoming a member of our church? We invite you to attend a membership class on Saturday March 22nd from 9am-2pm in the St. Andrews hall (2nd floor). Lunch is provided.

YOUNG ADULTS HONDURAS MISSIONS TRIP STORY EVENING

  • Come and hear what God is doing in Honduras. See pictures and hear stories from our Young Adults who went to serve over Reading Week. It'll be an encouraging evening with some tasty Latin American treats!

DARTY (DAYTIME PARTY) @ GRACE

  • Did you ever wish you could attend Friday Night @ Grace, but then still go home and watch Netflix? Now you can! Join us Saturday afternoon for board games, cotton candy, theatre popcorn, line dancing, and karaoke! Fun for all ages! All are welcome.

  • REPENTANCE (Psalm 51:10-12) Lent is a season of reflection and repentance. David’s prayer for a clean heart and steadfast spirit can guide us. Are there sins or burdens you need to confess to God? Pray for His mercy and renewal as you walk with Him.

Matt 10: 1,5-20

1 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

9 “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts— 10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. 11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

PRAYER FOR THOSE SEARCHING FOR TRUTH

Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life.  Grant that I might be undaunted by the cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and open me to the reality of who you are.  Give me an understanding of you that is coherent, convincing and that leads to the life you promise.  Amen.

PRAYER OF BELIEF

Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared admit, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope.  I thank you for paying my debt on the cross, taking what I deserved in order to offer me complete forgiveness.  Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as my Saviour and Lord.  Amen.

Now may the God of peace

equip you with everything good for doing his will,
