About Family Ministry
Deuteronomy 11:18-19 teaches us:
“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul ...You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
We believe that God has called parents to the vital task of discipling their children - to teach, talk, and walk the Gospel into their hearts. At the same time, Scripture makes clear that this is only made possible by parents first laying up the Word diligently in their own lives. Here at Grace Toronto, we’re committed to making space for parents to do just that.
How to Get Involved
As a church, we want to come alongside you during this important journey of parenting. We do this through Grace Gatherings (such as Life Groups and Discipleship Groups), but we also offer unique fellowship opportunities for moms and dads that vary seasonally.
Moms Group - Fall 2025
Mom’s Group is a space for mothers, particularly those on maternity leave, to connect with others in a similar life stage and build one another up in faith and motherhood. Our goal is to help women immerse themselves in God’s word each week, for it is Christ who gives us the strength and wisdom to navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood.
Downtown Start Date: September 24
East End Start Date: September 25
Fall Semester Plan: We will be doing a reading plan through “She Reads Truth”. You will be sent the weekly reading plan at the beginning of the semester and we ask that you come having read or listened to the verses for the week. We will be studying the book of Matthew.
What to Expect: We will gather each week for fellowship and snacks (we take turns signing up to bring these), to talk through the weekly readings and read the corresponding devotional, and pray for one another. Childcare is not provided; the babies all hang out with us while we chat and pray. Some weeks are more chaotic than others but this is just part of doing life together! Come as you are.
